Privacy Policy for Home Pharmacy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Welcome to Home Pharmacy. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Home Pharmacy is designed to work completely offline. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, medication lists, prescription images, or device information to any server. All data (medicines, expiry dates, storage conditions) remains only on your device in a local SQLite database.

2. Camera and Storage Permissions

The app requests access to your camera and photo gallery only for the purpose of scanning prescription images. These images are processed locally on your device using on‑device OCR (text recognition). They are never uploaded, saved to the cloud, or shared with third parties. After processing, the image is discarded unless you explicitly save it (you are never prompted to save).

3. No Internet Access

Home Pharmacy does not require an internet connection and does not send any data over the network. Therefore, we cannot collect or leak your information remotely.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses no third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or social media SDKs. The only external components are open-source libraries (Kotlin, Compose, SQLDelight, etc.) that operate locally.

5. Children’s Privacy

Home Pharmacy is not directed to children under 13, but it does not collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
